Background
Dean Wiegers was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in October, 1934, the first of six children. He grew up in eastern Colorado farm communities of Fowler, Crowley, and the Rocky Ford area. His father was a farmer, had dairy cattle, and raised turkeys, all of which taught Dean responsibilities that he carries on today.
