At the beginning of the month, we introduced the all-important question of “What is God looking for in us?” How we answer this question determines our religion because it reveals who we believe God to be. This month we’re seeking to answer the question by examining an unlikely passage, 1 Kings 7, where we will uncover three things that the great King Solomon is offering to God in worship. Last week we examined Solomon’s second strategy for pleasing God, which was what we do for God, and why it was insufficient.
