In the wake of the tragic loss of her husband, Richard, and their homestead southeast of Leoti in the December 15, 2021, derecho, the Prairie Pals FCE immediately began to piece a quilt for Peggy Shimanek.
The beautiful results are shown in the photo above, taken when the quilt was presented to Peggy (in black vest), Monday, March 7, 2022, at Prairie Flower Quilt Company.
