Becoming Wichita County

I’ve lived in Wichita County on and off for 44 years, yet I have recently learned things about the area that I didn’t know. A few weeks ago, Rob and I were talking about how little people our age or younger know about Wichita County and Leoti’s history.

Senior Center Menu

Meals are served Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. and are available to all. Guests of any age welcome. Meals for those 60 years of age or older are $3.50 and under 60 are $7.50. Lunches need to be ordered one day in advance. Delivery is available for home bound residents.

In my role as a hospitalist, I am always happy when a patient is healthy enough to be discharged. A resounding majority of people want to go back to their home after they leave the hospital. What we do not want is an unsafe environment leading to repeat injuries resulting in a hospital readmission.
