Leoti dominated scoring in the first quarter to win the period 11–7. The tables turned in the second as Dighton fought back. The Hornets overpowered the Indians through the third, ending the period with an 11-point advantage. The home team were able to challenge in the final frame, but the damage had been done. The Indians lost 49–53.
