Robert “Kirk” McMain

Robert (Kirk) Kirkman McMain, Jr., age 62, passed away in Colorado Springs, CO, on March 22, 2022, after battling a short illness.

Kirk was born June 3, 1959, in Mt. Clemens, MI. His family moved to Colorado Springs, CO, in August, 1964.

Beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Kirk is survived by his wife, Christine McMain, and dog, Rory, of the home; parents, Marcella and Peter Ruch of Colorado Springs, CO, and Robert and Deanna McMain, Sr., of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Melodie (Dave) Breitkreutz of Leoti, KS, Nancy (William) Hedges of Niceville, FL, and Elizabeth (Thomas) Curran of Fishersville, VA; brother, Justin Moore-Ruch of Kailua-Kona, HI; stepbrothers David (Tia) Ruch, Denver, CO, Daniel (Brenda) Ruch, Roseburg, OR, Michael (Kim) Ruch, Colorado Springs, CO, Scott (Lisa) Rawlinson, Albuquerque, NM; and stepsister Sharaine (Randall) Roberts, Albuquerque, NM. He was also a treasured uncle, brother-in-law, and cousin to many.

Kirk, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, was known for his generosity, warmth, sense of humor and entrepreneurial spirit. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hiking, boating, camping, skiing and motorcycling. He had a huge circle of great friends and loved to entertain them. He traveled extensively both inside and outside the country. Kirk was the founder and owner of MCTV, an advertising company specializing in rural Colorado markets. Kirk may hold the record for concerts attended and vinyl collected; music stirred his soul.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
