The Republican primary for State Treasurer has been close since election night. According to the Kansas Secretary of State's Tweet from around 5PM Tuesday night, August 16, Caryn Tyson trailed Steven Johnson by 475 votes out of 438,000 cast. Six counties will begin recounting Wednesday.
