I was working in the kitchen and noticed a fly land on the counter beside me. I flicked it, but it managed an escape and lived. I was a bit annoyed, saying, “This is NOT your season.” Flies in the summer are expected (not welcomed, but tolerated). But flies this time of year? If we must bear the wind and cold, we don’t want flies teasing us of longed-for summer days.
