Southwestern Heights hosted the Hi-Plains League scholars’ bowl on Jan. 25, 2023. All seven of the league teams participated. Although it was a very up and down day, the varsity team did place fifth overall. The varsity team for Wichita County consisted of seniors Cordell Brown and Joci Schmidt, juniors Israel Espinoza, Madeleine Myers, and sophomore Anna Biel.
