Leoti native Joe Ridder accepts a recognition plaque from Father Tim Hickey for piloting the plane that dropped holy water on dozens of fields last April.
Ridder is a pilot for Tri-Rotor Crop Services in Ulysses, which generously donated Ridder’s services for the program.
The plaque features a photograph of Ridder flying south from Leoti.
