Wichita County officials held a tax auction Thursday, March 23, at the Community Building, ending (sort of) a process that began in 2020, when 59 properties were identified as qualifying for a sheriff's tax auction.

All 29 properties offered to the 43 registered bidders were sold. Of the original list of 59 properties, 30 were redeemed by owners in the months or weeks prior to the event.
