This Memorial Day, Karen Walk, our beloved curator of the Museum of the Great Plains, wanted to pay tribute to some of the many veterans from Wichita County who have, over the years and through the wars, defended our nation. Some of those below gave the ultimate sacrifice, but all of them gave some undefinable part of their souls, and, undoubtedly, an innocence they could never get back.
