Pratt—Karen Marie Tripp, 79, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Grand Plains Skilled Nursing. She was born on December 24, 1944, in Garden City to Harry Lester and Vada Marie (Watson) Appl.
Karen worked for Kan Sun Feeders for many years until she had an injury and became disabled. She enjoyed going antiquing, playing Bingo and cards, merchandising personnel for Anthony and The Animals, gardening, rodeoing and going horseback riding daily until her injury.
She is survived by her daughters, Nacoma Tripp of Wichita and NaKol Orler of Pratt; grandchildren, Sha’Rai Miller of Wichita, LaKota Tripp of Wichita, Chyenne Tripp-Orler of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, MaKala (James) Fitzsimmons of Cunningham, and Payje (Rustin) Dymond of Burrton; greatgrandc h i l d ren , Kaden Miller, Skyler, Addisyn, and Felicity Nunn, Justin Walker, Mia, Taygin Moore, Amber Jean and Amy Jo Fitzsimmons, and Bryer Dymond.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Pacer Lance Tripp; brother, Larry Appl; son in-law, Michael Orler; and great-grandchild, Brylen Dymond.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2024, at Neeland Cemetery, St. John.
