Theresa Ann Torres, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She was born to Pedro and Dominga Medina Hernandez in La Junta, Colorado, on September 15, 1952. Theresa spent nearly all of her adult life in Leoti. She was an amazing wife, mother, and town sweetheart.
On February 28, 1972, Thressa married Roy Torres at St. Anthony’s in Padua, Leoti, Kansas. He passed away on March 10, 2024.
Theresa is survived by her children Monica & Seth Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas, Abel & Misty Torres of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Brooklyn Berryman of Lubbock, Texas, Regan Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas, Kylei Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas, Sonnie Torres Altman of Lubbock, Texas, Lennox Torres of Hugoton, Kansas, Jaxson Torres of Hugoton, Kansas; siblings, Andrea Gerstberger of Moffat, Colorado, Carmen Her n ande z o f Ordway, Colorado, Rosario Klar of Broadus, Montana, Bertha McGann of Palco, Kansas, Ray Hernandez of Deerfield, Kansas, Lupe Hernandez of Plains, Kansas, and Connie Maturey of Satanta, Kansas. Theresa is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Torres; son, Roy Torres Jr.; siblings, Josie Martinez, Mary Hernandez, Nick Hernandez, Tony Hernandez, and Paul Hernandez.
Public visitation will be on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, August 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Price & Sons Funeral Home, Leoti, Kansas.
Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua church in Leoti, Kansas, with Father Bernard Felix presiding.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025, at St. Anthony’s of Padua Church in Leoti, Kansas, with Father Bernard Felix presiding.

Interment will be at the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.
