Fatal officer-involved shooting in Wichita

May 24, 2026 Wichita, Kan. – The Kansas Bureau of Invest igation (KBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Saturday in Wichita, Kansas.

The Wichita Police Department (WPD) requested KBI assistance at approximately 8:20 p.m., on Saturday, May 23. KBI agents responded to investigate.
