Leoti—Amado Rocha, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at his home in Leoti, Kansas. He was born on September 13, 1945 in Fresno, California, the son of Rosario and Jaquina Alvardo Rocha. A longtime resident of Leoti, Kansas, he was a farmer and rancher.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Leoti, Kansas.
On May 5, 1985 he married Lenora Hernandez in Tribune, Kansas. She passed away on July 23, 2012 in Wellington, Kansas.
Survivors include his daughter, Hilda and Ezequiel Arreola, Scott City, Kansas; mother, Jaquina Alvardo, Sterling, Illinois; four siblings, Rosario (Esther) Rocha Jr., Sterling Illinois; Juan l Rocha, Rock Falls, Illinois; Nelda and Efrain Rojas, Alabama; Neomi and Able Sustaita, Corpus Christi, Texas; five stepchildren, Tommy Zamora of Honolulu, Hawaii; Lewis Samora, Fairbanks, Alaska; Debbie Chavez, Leoti, Kansas; Susiana Martinez of Garden City, Kansas; Ruth Proa of Leoti, Kansas; one grandson, Aaden Arreola, Scott City, Kansas; three granddaughters, Marisela Chavez, Dareli Arreola, and Mireya Skibbe, all of Scott City, Kansas; seventeen step-grandchildren, and twenty-four step-greatgrandchildren
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, and three sisters.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.
Burial will be in the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.
There will be no calling times.
