Beth A. Lamb Duff

Beth A. Lamb Duff, age 89, of Russell Springs, died Friday, September 25, 2020 at Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby. She was born on September 4, 1931 on the farm near Ingalls in Gray County, Kansas to Fred and Anna (Hadley) Ausmus. She was a ranch and farm wife. Beth married Jack Lamb on January 21, 1951 in Winona. She married Charles Duff on September 30, 2006 in Russell Springs.

Beth loved gardening, playing the piano, and attending the grandkids ballgames and events. She attended many of the church and United Methodist Women functions and activities. Beth worked on the ranch with Jack for many years, entertaining visitors at the Lamb Ranch with her famous pies. Later, with Charles, she enjoyed feeding and checking on the buffalo.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Lamb (2002) and Charles Duff (2008), four brothers: Donald Glen Ausmus, Alfred Ausmus, Richard Ausmus, and Roger Ausmus; and two sisters: Dorothy Peitz and Norma Straub.

Beth is survived by her three sons, John (Tonya) Lamb of Russell Springs, Jerry Lamb of Roff, OK, and David (Amy) Lamb of Winona; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and step children, numerous step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren of the Charles Duff family whom Beth was very fond of.

A private funeral service for family only, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020, at the Winona United Methodist Church, with Pastor Melissa Byerly officiating. Interment will follow at the Winona Cemetery.

Visitation for the public, 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday, October 1, at the Winona United Methodist Church.
