Roy Torres

Leoti—Roy Janas Torres, age 70, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Adventhealth Porter Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was born on August 28, 1953, in Texas, to Lionicio and Mary Janas Torres. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Leoti, Kansas, and a lifelong resident of the community.

On February 28, 1972, Roy married Theresa Ann Hernandez at St. Athony’s of Padua in Leoti, Kansas. She survives.

Roy is survived by his children, Monica & Seth Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas, Abel Torres of Wichita, Kansas; his grandchildren, Sonnie Altman of Garden City, Kansas, Lennox Torres of Hugoton, Kansas, Jaxson Torres of Hugoton, Kansas, Kylei Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas, Brooklyn Berryman of Amarillo, Texas, Regan Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas; and his siblings, Elida & Tony Hernandez of Leoti, Kansas, Lupe Rodriguez of Leoti, Kansas, Tom Torres of Dimmitt, Texas, and Louis Torres of San Antonio, Texas.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Roy Torres Jr.; and several siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at St. Anthony’s of Padua Church in Leoti, Kansas, with Father Benard Felix presiding.

Public visitation will be on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 11:00 until 8:00 and Friday, March 22, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Price & Sons Funeral Home, Leoti, Kansas.

Interment will be at the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.
