Stan Sowers

Stan Sowers was born October 16, 1944, in Scott City, Kansas, to Ellis and Nellie Sowers. He died in Sacramento, California, February 4, 2024.

Stan grew up on a farm 21 miles north of Leoti, Kansas. He attended a one room school, Hilltop Grade School. He then attended high school at Central in McPherson, Kansas, and graduated from Central Junior College there. He continued his education at Bethany Nazarene College, Bethany, Oklahoma, and graduated. He joined the Navy in 1966 and was discharged in 1968, after which he moved to San Diego, California. H e was t h e third child of five. Proceeding him in death were his dad, Ellis Sowers; mother, Nellie Sowers; and oldest brother, Charles Sowers.

Left to grieve are his wife, Sharon, of the home; daughters Angela Floyd, Amy Manley, their husbands and children; siblings, Ray and Audrey Huber of Rogers Arkansas, Sid Sowers of Valley Center, Kansas, Randy and Teressa Sowers of Scott City, Kansas.
