Scott City, Kansas—Steven C. Gruver, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, as the result of an automobile accident in Scott County, Kansas. He was born on April 2, 1960, in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Robert Lee and Elva Betzold Gruver. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he was an electrician and worked for S-K Electric of Scott City.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include a son, Trevor Gruver of Scott City, Kansas; a daughter, Kylee & Brad Ludowese of Scott City, Kansas; a grandson, Camdone Ludowese of Scott City, Kansas; a granddaughter, Kashlynn Ludowese of Scott City, Kansas; one brother, Rodney & Sue Gruver of Mayetta, Kansas; two sisters, Tina & Roy Turley of Scott City, Kansas, Salinda & Gerald Baker of Marienthal, Kansas; stepmother, Connie Gruver of Scott City, Kansas; stepson, Zack Patton of Texas; stepbrother, Joe Vredenburg of New York, New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents and close friends Devon Inguanza, Kurt Norman, and J.D. Hickert.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas, with Pastor Don Williams officiating.
Services will be live streamed on the Price & Sons Facebook page.
Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to the Steve Gruver Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
