We went to Denver Wednesday night to watch the Colorado Rockies take on the Atlanta Braves. My husband donned a Braves hat, which he got swindled out of by one of our daughters, who had no true devotion to the team, besides the hat matching her outfit.

Have you heard of the Crater of Diamonds State Park, forty miles north of Hope, Arkansas, where over 75,000 diamonds have been unearthed at this location since 1905? Since the park’s opening in 1972, over 19,000 diamonds have been found, averaging 600 diamonds a year.

My Aunt Betty and Stepmother Ginger make some of the best dinner rolls. An important and required ingredient in making bread is yeast, sometimes referred to as leaven. Yeast, a fungus, is used to make dough rise and only a very little is needed.

Last Saturday, while Alivia was at a swim party in Colby, I took our two youngest daughters to the grocery store. This usually doesn’t intimidate me, as I know a handy two-letter word. My husband, on the other hand, didn’t master this word for a while.

Ansley was not a good car rider as a baby. She would ride for a few minutes before fussing a little. Whoever sat beside her in the van would need to talk to her and hum little songs. Ansley would get a little fussier. So, big sis might rub Ansley’s leg or pat her chest to comfort her.

Near Carbondale, Kansas, are two billboards stating, “One Kansas Farmer feeds 155 people + You!” That is possible because one God-created seed of wheat on average produces five heads of wheat, each containing 22 seeds per head, totaling 110 grains of wheat.

Bearded Darnel In A Wheat Field Like a precious and costly diamond, “the kingdom of heaven” (i.e. “the kingdom of God”), has many facets to it. Last week Jesus compared “the kingdom of heaven” to a sower who sowed seed in four types of soil.

A few days ago, I went on my morning walk and when my tennis shoes weren’t by the door, I resorted to grabbing my daughter’s. I put the left shoe on and immediately felt like Goldilocks sitting in a hard chair. I tied up the right shoe and hurriedly walked out, closing the squeaky door behind me.
