The Ball

Sometimes, I find myself imagining life in another time period. You know, back to the good old days. I think back to times when things were simpler. Rocking chairs and front porches. A gallon of tea brewing in sunlight. Slow days. Peace. Quiet. No cadences in my mind of the to-dos ahead of me.

Pastor’s Corner:

A New Thing

Have you ever complained about something for a season (or for like 20 years) and then when faced with something new, you’ve been like, “Hey, give me some dirty dishes to wash.” I’m talking about comfort zones today. We like to be comfy, don’t we? We like the easy chair. We like the remote close-by.

So, a lady we knew at a former church used to say she was “in corn.” If we were scheduling a little get together or a meeting for instance, she’d say, “Sorry, I’m in corn.” Meaning, “I’m not available.” Well, I know exactly why she said that.
