Senior Center Menu

Meals are served Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. and are available to all. Guests of any age welcome. Meals for those 60 years of age or older are $3.50 and under 60 are $7.50. Lunches need to be ordered one day in advance. Delivery is available for home bound residents.

In 2019, my dad suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed on the left side of his body. In the span of one week, it became clear that my parents would need to move from the home they had enjoyed for over 50 years to something that would accommodate my dad’s new condition.

WCHS Hosts Powerlifting Competition

WCHS hosted a Powerlifting competition on Saturday, February 7. According to stats posted to https://hyperlifter.com/results/ meets/222, 238 athletes from 24 schools participated. We will print stats next week.

During the week of February 2nd, USD 467 schools celebrated “Wellness Week.” Teachers and students participated in daily themed activities to promote good nutrition, healthy habits, and exercise.

Saturday Storm less impressive than it sounded

Saturday night, a strong thund erstorm passed through the area, bringing with it heavy rain and strong winds.A gust of 60mph was reported two miles east of Leoti at 9:03pm. A 71mph gust was recorded at 9:15pm, followed by a 68mph gust two miles south-southeast of Leoti at 9:19pm.
