Wallace County, Kansas, resident Toohey “Buddy” Riley Allaman, 86, died Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Topside Manor in Goodland, Kansas.
Buddy was born April 17, 1937, at Winona, Kansas, the son of George and Thelma (Messler) Allaman. He was one of s ix chi ldren.
Leoti—Doris Ann Langdon, age 75, passed away on May 24, 2023, at her home in Leoti, Kansas. She was born on April 27, 1948, in Colby, Kansas, to Richard Dean and Marita Faye Heaton Mays; just minutes after her twin brother kicked her out first.
Vicki Lynn Bremer was born on February 3rd, 1945, the daughter of Walter W “Bud” and Velda “Wheeler” Shearmire of Modoc, Kansas.
She grew up in Modoc and graduated from SCHS in 1962.
In May after graduation, she began working at the IGA Grocery Store in Scott City where she worked until 1971.
Marjorie E. Elder, age 94, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. She was born on December 16, 1928, in Meade, Kansas, the daughter of John Frederick and Vergie Irene Morrison Baker.
Gary Wayne Vestal, 75, of Leoti, KS, passed away on May 12, 2023, at his residence.
Gary was born on September 29, 1947, to Benjamin “Bob” Vestal and Bertha Walker Vestal in Russell Springs, KS.
Gary joined the U.S. Army in 1964 and served in the Vietnam War.
LaVerne Matney passed away peacefully at The Cottages in Garden City, KS, on May 6th, 2023.
Laverne was born July 6th, 1932, in Leoti, KS, to parents Burl and Fern Rogers. She graduated from Leoti, KS, in 1951, and, that same year, went on to marry John B. Pearson.

Leoti—Dale Eugene Appl, age 90, passed away on April 29, 2023, at his home in Leoti, Kansas. He was born on May 3, 1932, to Martinus and Violet (Elder) Appl in Leoti, Kansas. He was a farmer and rancher as well as a past member of the Leoti Lions Club and the Antique Car Club.
Martha Catherine (Mills) Miller Kiser, 97, passed away April 15, 2023, peacefully in her home to live with Jesus. She was born December 8, 1925, in Middletown, Indiana, the daughter of Wal t e r Arlie Mills and Nellie Mabel (Davissen) Mills. When she was 2, the family moved to Houston, Texas.
